Painful Periods – Your Periods should be Pain-Free

You should not experience painful periods. Yes, your periods should be pain-free, I was 32 by the time I learned this, what age were you? At that stage of my life, I had a science degree and two children so perhaps I should have known better.

Periods should be:

- Pain free
- Occur every 28-32 days
- The bleed should be bright red
- Last for 5-7 days
- Moderate flow

Some women are fortunate and sail through all things hormonal, the rest of us are not so fortunate.

Women of a variety of ages suffer painful periods

We assume that painful periods, horrible strong moods or exhaustion is normal. That taking painkillers every month is acceptable, that there are no natural options.

Well, I am saying loud and clear “Periods should be pain-free, spread the word”.

Let’s start to expect more from our hormonal health

When I used to ask my clients “how is your period “, 90% would respond with the words “Fine”

I now describe what a healthy cycle is and ask how is your cycle in comparison then we have the beautiful light-bulb moment.

“Oh no – it’s not fine then “ is the general response.

Our hormonal/endocrine system is one of the most amazing systems in our body. It deserves to be nurtured and minded.

It’s so rewarding for me when clients come back and tell me that they have not experienced a painful period.

Much more importantly you get an end to painful periods.
